This video is called "Too Shy" by Ryan Hutchins. I chose this video because It relates to my life right now and captures the feeling that I want to create in this project. The video is about a guy who is secretly in love with his best friend in high school but is too shy to tell her. He ends up going his entire life without telling her and grows old and bitter only to find out at her funeral that she was secretly in love with her too. This video inspired me because it really makes you wonder about your life and also about how fast time can pass you by so fast.
This video is titled "the chase" by Syafiq latiff. Basically, this video's message is that time is running out and we all need to realize this idea time. He wants to make the view feel the need to never waste time. This message really relates to me because over the summer I did a lot of thinking about my future and going off to college soon and it really made me think and feel deep emotions about the subject. Not only that but it inspired my idea for this project; we spend our life chasing things but do we ever really find them?
This video is titled 'walking away' by Paula Mihalache. I chose this video because it was a really cool/inspiring representation of how it feels walking away from a touch situation which is somewhat what I want to portray in my video. This video evokes the feeling that you get when you are walking away from someone or something that was once a big part of your life. There was a good use of sound effects which really added a lot to the video itself. This inspired my for this project because it has a similar view point to what I want to do.
My proposed idea for this project is to create a video that shows the idea/feeling of walking away from someone that you love. By this, I mean making the decision to walk away although it is a very hard decision. For example, deciding to get a divorce with your spouse or deciding to leave a relationship even though you know it will be hard. The feeling of knowing it has to be done and finally getting the courage to do it. Overall, all of these videos influenced my idea for this video because they all portrayed the same type of feeling that I hope to. All of these videos portray the idea of being hurt and the feeling that you get when you have to make a tough decision. I will be using a lot of sound elements/music to portray my idea of this project. I believe that the sound elements will allow me to create the exact style/composition that I have in my head.
